Hi, my name is Emerson, and I'm one of the first students that entered the IB Program in Voramon. So Mirela, our beloved English teacher, asked us to make an article, about a topic of our preference to help you, new students that will join us in this experience.
Thus, it made me realize that one thing I would've killed to know when I began to study, is how to start, how to manage this new concept, etc. Moreover, to help all of you, I will try to give you some advice and tips. First of all, as you may now, there is the IB profile, and there is one in particular, that I want to focus on: balanced. I can guarantee you that if you are balanced enough, everything will come easier to you. Take me as an example, I work, study, play sports, play instruments, and have a life, meaning I have free time, and I can do all of this because I am balanced. If you can be organized, then you can do all of this and more. So my first aid: be organized.
Second of all, as our experience goes, or at least mine, you have to have good companionship and respect for each other, it's a very healthy environment, and everyone is happy. Consequently, don't make the same errors I did. If there is someone that you don't like, or just can't stand, be mature, and just ignore it, be better.
In conclusion, there are a lot more tips I/we could give you, but for now, you should focus on these two, and if you ever need help, talk to us, the first generation, the OG's if I may. If you are reading this now, have a beautiful summer, and enjoy it as much as you can, believe me, you should, but if it's after summer, have a good first trimester and let's hope, this program suits you.
